Palmetto Cheese stuffed breadsticksPalmetto Cheese Stuffed Breadsticks are great with dinner or can be served as an appetizer. With only a few ingredients, they’re easy to make.

Here is what you’ll need:Palmetto Cheese stuffed breadsticks

1 package Pillsbury Pizza Crust dough Classic style
6 oz Palmetto Cheese – Original, Jalapeno or Bacon (we used Bacon)
Parmesan Cheese (optional)
Olive Oil

All purpose flour

Directions:

Open the package of pizza dough and lay it flat onto a floured surface.

Lightly flour the top so it doesn’t stick to the rolling pin. Roll the dough until it is about 12″ wide and 15″ in length.

Palmetto Cheese stuffed breadsticksUsing a pizza cutter, cut the dough into 3″ wide strips and then cut the whole thing in half down the middle.

Palmetto Cheese stuffed breadsticksUsing a pastry bag or in our case a freezer storage bag with the corner cut off, pipe out a line of Palmetto Cheese down the middle of the dough. Our breadsticks could have used a little more cheese, but it’s personal preference. Just make sure you are still able to fold the dough in half to keep it all locked inside!

Palmetto Cheese stuffed breadsticksTime to make them “stuffed” with PC. Fold the dough portion in half and press down the seams to seal the cheese inside. After you do this step, roll the dough gently until it has more of a breadstick shape and place on a greased baking sheet. Put the seam side down.

Palmetto Cheese stuffed breadsticksBrush the breadsticks with a little olive oil and sprinkle the tops with Parmesan Cheese. Bake at 400 F for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. We served ours with some Palmetto Cheese that we melted in the microwave for about 60 seconds. Enjoy!!
