Time to get creative with Palmetto Cheese! We love projects that get the kids involved, they are all about having fun in the kitchen. Palmetto Cheese Pine Cones is a fun way to serve Palmetto Cheese and it only involves a few ingredients.
Here is what you’ll need:
1 – 2 12oz tubs Palmetto Cheese – The Pimento Cheese with Soul – Original, Jalapeno, or Bacon
1 1/2 cups Pecan halves, roasted
Preheat an oven to 350F. Lay the pecans flat on a sheet pan and bake for 5 – 10 minutes until roasted. Cool completely.
On a serving tray, place scoops of Palmetto Cheese in varying sizes. You can make several small pine cones or one large one if you want. We used a rubber spatula to scoop out and shape our pine cones. They can also be arranged however you like, there is no wrong way to do these.
Starting at the top of each cheese mound, arrange the pecans across the cheese. You can stagger the placement or put the pecans in rows. Lay them flat or have a few angled up.
Once the Palmetto Cheese pine cones are created, take a few sprigs of rosemary and lay them across the tops of the pine cones so it looks like they are hanging from a tree.
We hope you enjoy making the Palmetto Cheese Pine Cones. This serving tip also would look great with the Palmetto Cheese Owl – click here for instructions on making the pimento cheese owl.
