Nachos are great for a party or a fun appetizer to have with dinner. The components of this recipe can also be kept separated into bowls. Place everything on the table and have yourself a nacho bar!
Tortilla Chips (we used 3/4 of an 11oz. bag)
1 cup Palmetto Cheese – Original, Jalapeno, or Bacon
1/2 cup Salsa
1/4 cup Tomatoes, diced
1/4 cup Green Onions, sliced
1 Avocado, diced
2 Tbsp Black Olives, sliced
Additional toppings: jalapenos, chopped cilantro, taco meat, grilled chicken breast diced, black beans, and the list could go on and on. The choice is yours!!
In a microwave safe bowl, combine Palmetto Cheese and salsa. Microwave for 1.5 minutes. Remove from the microwave and stir.
After all of your toppings have been sliced and diced, set your oven to BROIL. Place the tortilla chips on an oven safe plate or dish. Pour the Palmetto Cheese and salsa mixture over the tortilla chips. Place the nachos in the oven under the broiler for approximately 4 minutes or until the tortilla chips begin to brown.
Carefully remove the very hot plate from the oven and load up the nachos with your favorite toppings. Serve immediately and watch out for the hot plate.
